Astra 1000 Series Concealed Door Closers

Designed for domestic use rather than on fire doors. The Astra 1000 series of concealed door closers are ideal for doors where an overhead closer would appear obtrusive or may be prone to vandalism. Fitted into the leaf of the door and the door frame, the Astra 1000 concealed door closers are discreet and low-key, have an adjustable latching action. Available with either a rectangular or rounded plate and in a range of finishes.

• Tested in accordance with BS EN1634-1:2000 and BS EN163-1:1999
• Suitable for internal doors of domestic applications (unsuitable for most fire doors due to low closing power)
• Performance tested to 500,000 cycles
• Power Size EN 2 - designed for doors weighing up to 40kg and measuring up to 850mm wide
• Please note: fire doors require a door closer with a minimum power size of EN 3
• Fixed closing speed
• Latching action can be adjusted according to the resistance met from the latch: allows the door to fully close
• Door closers allow 105° opening
• Available in a range of high quality finishes - brass, polished chrome and satin chrome
• Rectangular or rounded face plates available

Please note: The Astra concealed door closer is unsuitable for doors fitted with projecting or rising butt hinges fitted. A fitting jig and auger bit, available to purchase separately, are required for installation. These are not included.
