Technical Data
The ablative spray coating from Astroflame is a water-based, acrylic coating designed for sealing cut (open) edges when working with the Astroflame Fire Resistant Batt. It has been tested in block wall, concrete, masonry, plasterboard partition, composite panel and durasteel wall to prevent the passage of fire, smoke, air and sound between fire rated compartments. Able to provide up to 240 minutes of fire protection, the coating can be applied by brush, spray or pouring.
- 240 minute fire rated when tested to BS 476
- Suitable for use with the Astroflame Fire Resistant Batt
- CE marked and UL-EU listed
- Flexible and water resistant
- Application is by brush, spray or pouring
- Fire resistance tested to EN1366-3, EI 60, EI 90 and EI 120

To liquid! Much more like a thick paint then a mastic, I used a paintbrush to apply it and not a mastic gun as I would have expected
