Fire Escape Hoods & Masks
Fire escape hoods have been designed for personal use to give you 15 minutes of filtered breathable air to allow you to escape a smoke filled building. It is light and portable allowing you to keep it close by so that should you be required to evacuate in an emergency, you will be easily able to put the hood on and will automatically moulding around your next, ensuring a close fit to keep smoke away from your face.

Please note: You cannot practice a mock evacuation with a fire escape hood as removing them from the packaging activates the filter meaning they would not work when needed.

Fire escape hoods and masks are essential for safely navigating through smoke-filled environments. These devices filter out toxic fire-related gases, vapours and particles providing you with crucial time to escape. Each model is extremely user friendly to operate and time should be taken to familiarise yourself how to deploy your hood or mask in an emergency. The Parat 5510 when opening the packaging, grip the red pull cord and pull firmly. The filter sealing plugs are released from the filter, and the hood can then be put over your head and you ensure the mouth piece covers your nose and mouth, the self-adjusting internal head harness means no additional adjustment is required. The hoods are designed to fit snugly around your neck, ensuring they accommodate most users.
