The CS8 is a low cost emergency bulkhead light suitable for both internal and external applications. The CS8 units are of a polycarbonate ABS construction, are extremely durable and are suitable for incorporation into emergency lighting systems complying with BS 5266-1:2011.

Q. Can the emergency lights with IP65 rating be fitted with emergency showers?
A.
Yes, as this rating identifies that the unit is protected against low pressure jets from all directions - limited ingress permitted.
Q. Why do theatres and other places have to install maintained emergency lighting?
A.
There are two reasons: by having the emergency lights on permanently, you can detect if a light tube goes down and by having directional emergency lights (green man) permanently lit, people unfamiliar with the building might become aware of the escape routes.
Q. Can these units be fitted using surface mounted cabling / trunking?
A.
Yes, these emergency lighting units also have cable knock-outs allowing you to surface mount the cabling to the unit and if you so wish, to use trunking.
