Conventional manual call points are typically installed at various points along a fire escape route throughout a business, or public building. Typical locations may include near final exit doors, at the top or bottom of stairwells, and at periodic points down longer corridors / hallways. Featuring a bright red coloured housing for easy identification, the manual call point allows for occupants, employees, or visitors to manually activate the fire alarm system in the event of an emergency. Conventional MCPs are available with either a replaceable ‘BREAK’ glass window, or with a flexible plastic element that can be reset after each use.
A manual call point, or MCP, is a device which when manually activated will sound the fire alarm system. A conventional MCP means that it can only work with a conventional fire alarm panel such as C-TEC CFP AlarmSense, Kentec Sigma, or Rafiki Twinflex.
