Replacement for DETA 1155 Mains Powered Heat Alarm

The DETA 1155 mains powered heat alarm with akaline back-up battery has now been discontinued by the manufacturer. To enable DETA 1100 series alarm owners to continue to update their systems, BRK have developed their range of alarms to be entirely compatible with your existing DETA alarm bases. This means that you don't need an electrician to install your replacement alarm.

The recommended replacement for the DETA 1155 heat alarm is the BRK 690MBX. This is also a mains powered heat alarm with replaceable alkaline battery back-up. Heat alarms are designed for locations where smoke alarms may be falsely triggered by everyday household fumes such as kitchens and garages. The replacement alarm features a test & hush button for easy testing and maintenance.

The simple installation process of the 690MBX replacement alarm negates the need for an electrician, though you must ensure that mains power to all interlinked alarms is cut before beginning work. The interlink wire can carry a live electric current between alarms if they are powered from different circuits.
