Exidor's UK manufactured 322EC outside access device (OAD) with lever allows for the provision of secure access into a building from the outside, without compromising the functionality of the escape hardware inside the building. This product is compatible with all 200 and 300 series Exidor emergency escape products, including the full range of Exidor push pads and panic bars. This handle is suitable for installation on doors up to 55mm thick, and is supplied complete with the required screws and spindle. It is also supplied with a euro cylinder lock as standard plus three keys. The Exidor 322EC OAD is fully Certifire approved for use on timber and steel doors, and is one of the most popular outside access devices within our range.

It is crucial that outside access devices do not compromise the performance of escape hardware when fitted. All Exidor external access devices are carefully designed to ensure that the door functions as an entrance when needed, but as an emergency exit at all times.
Device Locked:
When the door is locked, the handle is fixed in the horizontal position - preventing access from outside the building. As a security measure, there is a shear screw built in to the handle which is designed to shear if subjected to excess force. This prevents unauthorised access for anyone trying to force their way in to the building.
Device Unlocked:
When the device is left unlocked, the spindle and mechanism engage with the device on the inside of the door. This allows the lever to be used like a standard door handle to gain access to the building. The lever activates that panic hardware to withdraw the shoots or latch which hold the door closed.
Please note: The lever remains engaged/active until the door is re-locked.
