The gaps between a Fire Door and its frame need to be 2 to 4mm in width to ensure that both the door can close smoothly and that the fire cannot spread through the gap of the fire door. Our Fire Door Gap Gauge is a handy tool designed with a clearly marked dark blue "Recommended Door Gap" area and red "Door Gap Not Recommended" area. Quickly tell at a glance if the gaps around a fire door are within the acceptable range.

A perfect little tool for a very specific job. We have just had a new street door fitted but your little tool confirmed that the door did not conform to the new standards, a lot of the gaps were over 5mm.
