The ES is a cost effective, illuminated emergency escape route sign supplied in a clean white finish and is suitable for interior applications. The ES units are suitable for installation in internal environments and incorporation into emergency lighting systems complying with BS 5266-1:2011.

Q. Why do theatres and other places have to install maintained emergency lighting?
A.
There are two reasons: by having the emergency lights on permanently, you can detect if a light tube goes down and by having directional emergency lights (green man) permanently lit, people unfamiliar with the building might become aware of the escape routes.
Q. Can these units be fitted using surface mounted cabling / trunking?
A.
Yes, these emergency lighting units also have cable knock-outs allowing you to surface mount the cabling to the unit and if you so wish, to use trunking.
