Technical Data
The ABS3aW controlled descent device from IKAR is a low maintenance, sturdy and robust device designed and tested for single person use. A built-in speed regulator controlled by centrifugal force which restricts the users descent to 1.5m/sec regardless of the direction of the internal pulley wheel, allowing alternating usage without resetting and less time between subsequent rescues. The device comprises of an aluminium housing fitted with a 10mm kernmantle rope lifeline which has a double action hook at each end, and can be used for multiple rescues back-to-back.

Easy operation and fixing with anchorage sling. Comes complete with Karabiner clips at each end. Would be better if customised lengths of rope were available. Haven't attempted full descent in situ but have trialled over a short drop (3m)-seems to function as expected.
