Discontinued Product
The Kidde Slick range has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. We recommend instead the Aico Ei140 series with the Ei168RC wireless base, though these will require an electrician to replace the wiring.

The Kidde Slick 1SFWRF Ionisation smoke alarm is a mains powered radio-interlinked unit. Using RF technology, the alarms within the series "talk" to one another, creating an intelligent system that is quicker to sound in an emergency. With ionisation technology, this alarm is perfect for locating in hallways and on landings.
The table below shows all the units that can interlink with the KE1SFWRF and KE1SFLLWRF.

okay Installed by our electrician. He found units not as straight forward to install as his usual brand but got the hang of it after the first half dozen or so. Units look good and can be tested easily if in reach. No fires yet but they should work fine. One unit out of 36 had poor connection otherwise fine. Would use again.

Good product, saves wiring Good product, bought 3 to link together. Pairing instructions are poor had a very frustrating time, eventually got all units to communicate. Had a few (3) nuisance alarms, don't know what caused them, the alarms take some silencing. Overall pleased and confident with product. Will buy more

"OK" merely means I have no data for a Rating Rather like insurance, until it is needed one has no idea how good it is. So far no complaints. The electrician installed and checked their operation. They both responded to smoke from a match when I checked. We have not had a fire so I am unable to provide a full review. Check with me again in 10 years and we can review the battery performance. I will then be 96 so communication may prove difficult. May not have the opportunity to check for your product in our local crematorium. Beyond that point smoke detectors probably pointless!
