LifeVac Anti-Choking Devices
The LifeVac is an anti-choking device with a simple 3-step process; place, push, pull! It is non-invasive and causes no risk of damaging the oral cavity or further restricting the airway by forcing the object further down. Choking can kill in less than 10 minutes; with the very young, elderly and people with certain medical conditions being at increased risk. How do anti-choking devices work?
The LifeVac is an anti-choking device designed to help clear obstructions from a person's airway. Here’s how it works using the 3 P’s Place, Push, Pull:
Place the Mask: Position the LifeVac mask over the person's mouth and nose to create a seal.
Push the Plunger: Push the plunger down to create a vacuum.
Pull the Plunger: Quickly pull the plunger back to generate suction, which helps to dislodge the obstruction from the airway.
