The Ei184 is a low voltage heat alarm with backup battery designed for use with suitable 8-30 volt control panels. The alarm has relay contacts (normally open and closed) for connecting to a panel and its associated devices.
- 9V Alkaline battery backup
- 5 year warranty
- A maximum of 12 units can be interconnected via 3 core interconnection cable
- Alarms that can be interconnected include:
- Easi-fit mounting plate
- Suitable for installations complying to BS 5839-6: 2019 Grade D2 (and Grade C if used with appropriate control equipment)

- Fixed temperature fast response thermistor type sensor range 54° - 62° C

Q. How can we test the alarm to make sure it is working?
A.
The manufacturer's recommendation is to test the alarm by pressing the test button. This will simulate a heat input at the heat sensor. You can also test it with a hair dryer but make sure that the hairdryer is kept away at a suitable distance from the alarm. Do not attempt to test the alarm by using open fire or excessive heat as this may damage the unit.
