Using high quality energy saving LEDs, this Pico LED emergency fire exit sign has a reliable lamp lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours, and can be installed in either maintained or non-maintained operation. The Pico has a low profile single sided design, and its opal downlight panel illuminates the area below, helping to highlight the escape route. After a mains power failure, the Pico exit sign has a back-up battery, designed to provide emergency illumination for 3 hours.

Q. Is it possible for a maintained emergency light to be converted to non-maintained when installed?
A.
Yes, it is possible for a maintained emergency light to be installed in non-maintained operation. Maintained luminaires have two live connections - permanent supply and switched supply. If you decide to install the maintained light in non-maintained operation, the electrician just needs to miss out the switched live connection during installation. It is not possible to install a non-maintained light in maintained operation.

Very easy to install and good illumination when dark. Just hope the expected life expectancy is long as the old fire exit signs as these were 30 years old mini fluorescent.
