The Romney LED fire exit sign is a maintained / non-maintained combo fitting with back-up battery, designed to provide 3 hours of emergency illumination after a mains failure. The sign features a double sided hanging legend with three direction arrow options to choose from. Its even spread of illumination makes it ideal for installing in corridors and escape routes.

Q. Is it possible for a maintained emergency light to be converted to non-maintained when installed?
A.
Yes, it is possible for a maintained emergency light to be installed in non-maintained operation. Maintained luminaires have two live connections - permanent supply and switched supply. If you decide to install the maintained light in non-maintained operation, the electrician just needs to miss out the switched live connection during installation. It is not possible to install a non-maintained light in maintained operation.
