What is the legal requirement for fire alarm testing?
For fire alarm systems, there is a legal requirement for a six-monthly inspection to be conducted each year. This should be performed by a trained fire alarm engineer as they test all the smoke and heat detectors with specialist equipment without the additional risk of climbing.
