<p>Since being founded in 2001 Safelincs has grown to be the UK's largest online fire safety retailer. We supply over 3800 different product lines and offer nationwide fire safety services, such as fire extinguisher maintenance and fire alarm panel installations. Our headquarters are in Alford, Lincolnshire and we are represented in the USA, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.</p>
<p>At Safelincs we pride ourselves on our product quality, competitive price structure and customer satisfaction. We are certified by British Standards Institute (BSI) for the ISO9001 quality standard. In 2009 we won the GoAward for Public Procurement Excellence and the Lincolnshire Business Customer Care Award. In 2010 we finished as finalists in the same category and in 2011 we became finalists in the customer care award of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA). Safelincs works in partnership with Britannia Fire in Norwhich, the oldest UK based extinguisher manufacturer. Britannia has over 40 years experience in producing high quality fire extinguishers.</p>

<h2>Partner to the Fire Safety Industry</h2>
<p>Safelincs is a stakeholder in the government’s Fire Kills campaign and is  actively working with Fire Kills on promoting good fire safety practices. Safelincs is certified by BAFE for servicing of portable fire extinguishers. We are also the official sponsor of the Fireservice Information Pages.</p>
<p>We have developed partnerships with the leading fire safety manufacturers to facilitate increased internet presence for their products and to make their products more accessible to internet customers.</p>

<p>Our modern warehousing and shipping processes have been audited and accredited by the UK Warehousing Association. They have rated us to be part of the best 2% of warehouses accredited in the country.</p>
<h2>Environmental Protection</h2>

<li>Safelincs is signed up to Valpak's WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)Distributor Take-Back Scheme (Registration ID: <a title="" href="/files/Valpak_DTS_certificate.pdf"></a>7370). Private households can therefore drop off their electronic and electrical fire safety waste at their municipal recycling centre when they are purchasing new products from us.</li>
<li>Safelincs is a registered ‘UK Battery Producer’ and contributes as such to 
a disposal/recycling service for used portable batteries at your local recycling 
centre. Our licence number with BatteryBack Plc is BPRN00607 </li> 
<li>Safelincs offers responsible recycling of fire extinguishers when we are installing, commissioning or servicing your fire extinguishers. There is a charge of £3.00 incl VAT (£2.50 ex VAT) per extinguisher for this optional service</li>
<li>Safelincs uses 100% Renewable Energy, creates new packaging materials through 
re-manufacturing of packaging and works actively on minimising our impact on the 
environment.</li></ul>
<h2>Charitable Work</h2>
<p>Safelincs supports the local community by sponsoring local charities and events. 
We sponsor various local playground, music and sports projects and involve local 
artists in the development of promotional materials. Safelincs trains pupils of the local secondary schools in web design, web development and entrepreneurship skills.</p>
<p>We also support MercyShips, an international charity that works worldwide to 
improve the lives of others.</p>

<p>We are financing research into improved fire escape equipment and have registered patents for a number of new fire escape systems.</p>
