All alarms in a house should be interlinked. This is so if one alarm sounds, all other interlinked alarms will also sound. This allows the warning alarm to be heard in all areas.
Built into the Ei600 series of alarms, radio frequency signals are used to wirelessly link the alarms together. Radio interconnection gives you an easier and less messy installation method than traditional wired connections. If one alarm is triggered, it sends a radio signal and all interlinked alarms sound.
The Ei600 series of alarms uses a "Mesh" radio frequency system. This means that signals are repeated by all the alarms, and it gives multiple possible signal paths between the units. If there is an obstruction that could block the connection, the radio signal "bounces back" to the alarm and is repeated around the obstruction. This ensures a reliable radio interconnection.
