<p>Intumescent letter plates are designed to stop the passage of fire and smoke through a letter opening in a fire door.</p>
<h2>Application</h2>
<p>Intumescent letter plates are ideal for both business use and houses of multiple occupancy (HMO). The plates are comprised an internal and external letterbox flap, smoke seals and an intumescent liner   around the door aperture. In the event of a fire the intumescent material will expand to seal the letter opening and slow the spread of fire.</p>
