Product Administrator
Overview:
Responsible for the introduction, development, presentation and maintenance of new and existing product listings on Safelincs sites and dealing with suppliers in tandem with The Commercial Development Manager and other Product Managers. When required, support the customer service team with product and supplier information and contact and with relevant product training.
Role and Responsibilities
Product Management
- Identify new and profitable products suitable for Safelincs and sister product ranges
- Work closely with Commercial Development Manager in introducing new products
- Improve our listings based on relevant data and Product Team discussions and approval
- Be in direct contact with suppliers. These communications must be closely co-ordinated with the Commercial Development Manager
- Ensure that new product listings and pages are peer-reviewed. Also peer-review work of colleagues
- Work closely with other Product Managers and the Commercial Development Manager to ensure that we have full holiday cover
- Take part in product related meetings
- To edit and make website changes where necessary
- Constantly monitor the Product Dept. email account for product updates and action as necessary
- Continuously analyse product ranges in the market appropriate to Safelincs
- Carry out price comparisons to ensure Safelincs are placed correctly in the market
- Carry out content reviews and maintain content throughout website portfolio
- Become a specialist of product ranges and extend knowledge of product lines
- Generate unique, appropriate content in line with Safelincs requirement
- Create blog ideas and generate blogs for use on Safelincs websites
Customer Service Support
- Train staff on new products introduced into the companies portfolio
- Support customer service staff with enquiries and product information
- Where necessary, take customer calls and deal with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Help answering enquiries from our online chat system
- Respond to customer contact through phone, fax or e-mail on the same day as the enquiry Deal with customer and company information with strict confidence
- Deal with customer complaints in a sympathetic and supportive manner
eBay Shop
- Keep our eBay store product range up to date
- Maintain our eBay auction items as appropriate, taking images and setting start prices etc.
- Complete works at a weekend out of the ‘normal’ Monday to Friday working hours
Trustpilot Backup Deputy
- Provide cover when the Trustpilot key contact is away
- Reply to customers in a clear and understanding manner
- Try to appease upset customers and resolve their issues
Internal Audits
- Carry out internal audits as planned
- Train new staff to carry out internal audits
Internal Audits
- Carry out regular tests of fire alarms and emergency lights in accordance with requirements
- Report any issues found at weekly tests
