Overview
You are responsible for the smooth running of the facilities and are, in conjunction with the MD, responsible for the planning and safe execution of building and facilities improvement projects. You will manage HR Administrator, Bookkeeping and H&S Coordinator and will carry out all related HR tasks.
Location: Alford, Lincolnshire
Roles and Responsibilities
Office Management
- Manage all office/warehouse maintenance and site development projects
- Be responsible for relevant budgets
- Ensure all company areas are visitor-ready at all times, including managing cleaning team
HR Procedures
- Support and supervise HR person with HR tasks such as recruitment process, induction, probation and appraisal reviews, disciplinary meetings
- Manage workload of staff in your department, ensuring that they are carrying out all tasks in a timely manner
- Monitor quality of work
- Attend management meetings
H&S Procedures
- Liaise with H&S Coordinator to ensure all annual H&S checks are carried out
- Ensure that all Fire Safety checks are carried out. Monitor fire safety checks carried out by others
- Perform fire drill at least bi-annually (ensuring that contractors, visitors to site, new staff are included in drills) and record in appropriate logbook
- Carry out spot checks to ensure H&S is being implemented
Facilities Management
- Plan and organise all maintenance work for facilities as well as safety & security systems
- Work within agreed budgets
- Get competitive quotes for projects
- Liaise with accounts re contractor payments
- Ensure contractors are registered, have carried out risk assessments where required and have provided all necessary documentation before starting work
Hours
This is a full time role, hours to be agreed between 8.30am and 6.30pm
