<h2>Application</h2>
<p>Intumescent pipe collars are used to protect existing services which pass through a concrete masonry or plasterboard walls, ceilings or concrete and masonry floors. The collars comprise of a metal outer  and an intumescent material, which in the event of a fire will expand and crush a PVC or uPVC pipe, sealing the penetration and preventing the passage of fire and smoke. The collars have a hinged section to allow easy fitting around an existing service pipe.</p>
