Senior Product Administrator
Overview
- Overseeing and distributing day to day tasks
- Supporting the Development Manager with re-prioritising tasks to align with business and departmental objectives
- Effectively communicating business and department objectives to the rest of the team
- Identifying larger projects and opportunities and forming relationships with Safelincs supplier network
- Managing day to day HR tasks in the Product Dept. alongside the Development Manager
- Dealing with customer enquiries and generating sales when required
- Forming strong working relationships with customer service staff and suppliers
- Supporting the Purchasing Administrator with supplier and product information
- Exploring new opportunities, systems and product / web developments with the Development Manager and Commercial Development Manager
Location: Alford, Lincolnshire
Roles and Responsibilities
Senior Position & Departmental Management
- Manage the Product Team on a daily basis, providing help and advice based on previous experience, research, industry standards and knowledge of the company
- Prioritise work briefs and modify day to day work patterns as needed
- Create and communicate product listing guidelines
- Generate enthusiasm among team members and pro-actively encourage others to improve their own skills and knowledge
- Check and sign off timesheets, monitor working hours and book in holiday requests
- Identify training needs and opportunities within the team
- Organise and provide training for colleagues on new products and train new members of staff
- Report project status updates to the Development Manager in a timely manner
- Conduct HR related reviews for junior dept. members as necessary
- Always work and behave in a professional manner
- Work overtime where necessary to maintain the workflow of the department
- Maintain confidentiality
Product Management
- Identify new and profitable products suitable for Safelincs and sister product ranges
- Successfully introduce new products into our portfolio
- Meet with suppliers to discuss Safelincs performance and identify new opportunities to develop Safelincs innovative product range
- Improve our current listings based on relevant data
- Peer-review product listings
- Take part in product related meetings
- Edit and make website changes where necessary
- Continuously analyse product ranges in the market
- Generate necessary monthly product sales reports
- Carry out price comparisons when necessary
- Carry out content reviews and maintain content throughout website portfolio
Purchasing Assistance
- Support the Purchasing Administrator with supplier / product information
- Assist the Purchasing Administrator to improve purchasing activities
- Update all relevant systems in a timely manner
- Support the Purchasing Administrator with organisation of stock takes
Customer Service
- Provide support assistance on online chat system and on the phone when required
- Respond to customer contact through phone, fax or e-mail within 2 days
- Furnishing the customer with requested details of a specific product
- Deal with customer and company information with strict confidence
- Deal with customer complaints in a sympathetic and supportive manner
