<li>Managing day to day HR tasks in the Product Dept. alongside the Development Manager</li>
<li>Dealing with customer enquiries and generating sales when required</li>
<li>Forming strong working relationships with customer service staff and suppliers</li>
<li>Supporting the Purchasing Administrator with supplier and product information</li>
<li>Exploring new opportunities, systems and product / web developments with the Development Manager and Commercial Development Manager</li>
</ul>

<h2>Roles and Responsibilities</h2>

<h3>Senior Position & Departmental Management</h3>

<ul>
<li>Manage the Product Team on a daily basis, providing help and advice based on previous experience, research, industry standards and knowledge of the company</li>
<li>Prioritise work briefs and modify day to day work patterns as needed</li>
<li>Create and communicate product listing guidelines</li>
<li>Generate enthusiasm among team members and pro-actively encourage others to improve their own skills and knowledge</li>
<li>Check and sign off timesheets, monitor working hours and book in holiday requests</li>
<li>Identify training needs and opportunities within the team</li>
<li>Organise and provide training for colleagues on new products and train new members of staff</li>
<li>Report project status updates to the Development Manager in a timely manner</li>
<li>Conduct HR related reviews for junior dept. members as necessary</li>
<li>Always work and behave in a professional manner</li>
<li>Work overtime where necessary to maintain the workflow of the department</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality</li>
</ul>

<h3>Product Management</h3>

<ul>
<li>Identify new and profitable products suitable for Safelincs and sister product ranges</li>
<li>Successfully introduce new products into our portfolio</li>
<li>Meet with suppliers to discuss Safelincs performance and identify new opportunities to develop Safelincs innovative product range</li>
<li>Improve our current listings based on relevant data</li>
<li>Peer-review product listings</li>
<li>Take part in product related meetings</li>
<li>Edit and make website changes where necessary</li>
<li>Continuously analyse product ranges in the market</li>
<li>Generate necessary monthly product sales reports</li>
<li>Carry out price comparisons when necessary</li>
<li>Carry out content reviews and maintain content throughout website portfolio</li>
</ul>

<h3>Purchasing Assistance</h3>

<ul>
<li>Support the Purchasing Administrator with supplier / product information</li>
<li>Assist the Purchasing Administrator to improve purchasing activities</li>
<li>Update all relevant systems in a timely manner</li>
<li>Support the Purchasing Administrator with organisation of stock takes</li>
</ul>

<h3>Customer Service</h3>

<ul>
<li>Provide support assistance on online chat system and on the phone when required</li>
<li>Respond to customer contact through phone, fax or e-mail within 2 days</li>
<li>Furnishing the customer with requested details of a specific product</li>
<li>Deal with customer and company information with strict confidence</li>
<li>Deal with customer complaints in a sympathetic and supportive manner</li>
</ul>
