<li>Responsible for carrying out extinguisher installation and maintenance as well as providing cover for warehouse duties.</li>
<li>As a service engineer for extinguishers, you are expected to travel to any UK locations required.</li>
<li>About half your time is spent servicing. The rest of your time you are working in the warehouse.</li>
<li><strong>Full training will be provided, no experience is necessary</strong></li>

<h2>Role and Responsibilities</h2>
<h3>BAFE Registered Extinguisher Service Engineer</h3>
<ul class="roles">
<li>To carry out fire extinguisher site surveys, installations and annual maintenance when requested by the service co-ordinator</li>
<li>To travel as necessary to site locations for servicing- occasionally including overnight stays</li>
<li>To prepare units for supply to larger projects</li>
<li>To represent the company in a professional, helpful and friendly manner</li>
<li>To promote the company’s brand and further Safelincs standing within the industry</li>
<li>To promote the P50 maintenance free extinguishers, explaining, demonstrating and recommending them to customers and in site survey reports</li>
<li>Take part in BAFE external audits when necessary</li>
<li>Work within the BAFE framework at all times</li>
</ul>
<h3>Warehouse Operative</h3>
<h4>Packing and Shipping</h4>
<ul class="roles">
<li>Collection of orders from sales office and accurate selection of orders from warehouse
<li>Performing barcoder quality scanning out checks.</li>
<li>Appropriate and speedy packing of orders, including all relevant paperwork and stickers with each shipment, with a 0.3% error tolerance</li>
<li>Checking of quantities, products and delivery addresses and signing of all invoices</li>
<li>Input of orders into the appropriate system, Business post, DHL, Fedex or Royal Mail as required.</li>
<li>Accurate processing of International and Pallet shipments</li>
<li>Handling of  goods according to in-house training</li>
</ul>
<h4>Goods Inward</h4>
<ul class="roles">
<li>Accurate checking in of goods upon arrival, signing delivery note to confirm package quantities.</li>
<li>Goods inwards scanning in according to the delivery note.</li>
<li>Ensuring timely booking in of incoming deliveries(At least twice daily-Noon and 4.00pm)</li>
<li>Loading and unloading of deliveries in a responsible manner</li>
</ul>
<h4>General</h4>
<ul class="roles">
<li>Stock control – participation of stock takes as when required.</li>
<li>Reporting of damaged goods to Warehouse manager</li>
<li>Use Business post integration to its full potential</li>
<li>Always act in a responsible manner</li>
<li>Perform stock control and storage using Fork Lift Truck and FIFO procedure as required.</li>
<li>Placing of booked-in deliveries into stock</li>
<li>Packaging of extinguishers prior to storage as required.</li>
<li>Monthly reporting of forced/missed orders.</li>
<li>Perform routine checks on Racking/PPE</li>
<li>Responsible for the forklift truck check prior to its first use of the day</li>
<li>Perform routine shredder maintenance.</li>
<li>Perform all other appropriate Warehouse duties as required by your line manager.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Health and Safety of the Warehouse</h4>
<ul class="roles">
<li>Disposal of unwanted packaging materials in adherence to environmental 
     policy.</li>
<li>High visibility work wears to be worn at all times.</li>
<li>Recording of daily forklift truck checks before the first use of the day and reporting of any problems</li>
<li>Operation of the forklift truck in an appropriate and safe manner, in adherence to training given on forklift truck training course</li>
<li>Ensuring general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the warehouse at all times, and reporting of any potential hazards</li>
</ul>
<h4>Protective Clothing Requirements</h4>
<ul class="roles">
<li>It is a requirement that warehouse staff wear the issued protective footwear at all times, notifying the manager of wear or fault to ensure speedy replacement</li>
<li>It is a requirement that warehouse staff wear protective hat when working in the warehouse racking area excluding the packing hut.</li>
<li>High visibility T-shirt or fleece to be worn at all times.</li>
<li>It is a requirement that warehouse staff wear protective gloves, goggles and apron when checking or topping up battery of forklift truck</li>
</ul>
